Hey Peckers,
It's a new year! I hope last year's musical orgy was a satisfying to you all as it was for me. There were some great moments, weren't there?
We laughed,
we cried,
we shoved our fingers in our ears and begged it to stop,
we waited by our mailboxes,
tapped our watches and put them by our ears,
wondering where Matt, Rob, and Steve's mixes were...
And now it's October again.
Fall.
A time for new beginnings and fresh starts.
We're all sophomores now.
Not only sophomoric, but also sophists: older, wiser, softer.
Through the first year of Woodpex, it became obvious that a few rules were needed:
1. For God's sake, no music from "The Fall Guy" - Incredibly dangerous when driving with my iPod on shuffle...
2. The same thing goes with the really sexy music. It's really hard to jog with a Woodrow Wilson.
3. And finally, anybody who misses their month this year (with a seven day grace period) will be strung up by their pubes and ejected from the club. You wouldn't believe how many people have grabbed me by the short-and-curlies and berated me for not inviting them into the "fucking lucky twelve," including my own wife, which I kind of enjoyed.
4. The leader of this band of banditos must update the Woodpex blog more regularly (like every month).
So here we all are again, in front of our computers full of MP3s.
It has certainly been an amazing year for music. The internet has blessed us with access to anything in the world (which, of course, should ALWAYS be paid for), and has given us wonderful ears. We're like alcoholic vintners of song, destroying our palettes by overindulgence.
I hope you're ready puke it back at people again.
I know I am.

Hey all, Woodpeckers 2.0 is on the way. Hate to be hater but I am making the executive decision of providing only those who provided me this year. Be happy in the thought that the mixes that would have gone to you will be going to help feed needy children in exotic places like Andrew Richards van, my friend Micheal Striegle's house in LA and Piratebrides house in Ill. Maybe more effort next year ehh bitches? As it is nothing but coal from Old Saint DIck! Oh Chum, how about providing a neutral login and pass to allow each month to post a personal pic and play list?
I just tried to give you admin access as a test, but don't mess around with the blog until the whole flock has had a chance to read the 06 welcome post.
And let me know if it gives you access to editing Sissyfish, because we don't want that!
I switched my account to blogger beta and it isn't letting me login to the blog. Could change it back that would mess with my blog layout. Maybe I'll just email the album art and song list to you.
Hey Peckers,
Just a note to say me and my bird flew east for the winter. Our new address is at the roost of one G-bird: 5943 NE Beech St., Portland OR, 97213. Send all future squakings there.
Thanks,
KC and Meme
